How to Convert Voice to MIDI with OVox in Ableton Live

Learn how to use the Waves OVox vocal synthesis / vocoder plugin to convert your vocal performances and recordings to MIDI notation in Ableton Live.

  1. Create a new audio track and record or import your vocal signal.

  6. Inside OVox, use ‘Tolerance” to control the density of the created MIDI notes. You can also use the Note Mapper to fit the notes into scales, generate chords & harmonies, or apply the built-in arpeggiator.
