"Waves' V-Series is an extremely realistic emulation of classic 70's hardware EQ's and dynamic processors. I can't quite explain how Waves achieves it, but these digital tools actually sound more analog, warm, and fat than the originals! They sound so nice and familiar, and combined with their very low processing latency, I actually find myself using them as inserts on input channel into my DAW, making it possible for me to use Pre-Amp-only recording chains! "A brand new favorite is the new Waves Vintage EQ. Oh my, this thing really has got a great sound, I can sense a few people who have a real vintage hardware EQ shaking their head, but I am telling you to try it, this thing rocks , warm and smooth it has all the characteristics of the original, it is supposed to be an exact model of the real hardware, personally I don’t care if it’s “exactly” the same or not all I know is it sounds great, I am working on an album with a new young singer called Susan Enan whose material is rich with voice, strings and pianos and the richness of the V-EQs really works well on her vocal and the piano.
